Suga Cakesicles

Cake, chocolate, a stick

Decorating

Decoration is applied to a set shell, and almost all of it is a question of timing.

Drizzles and drips

Contrasting coating applied in a thin stream sets in seconds on a cold shell. Warm the drizzle slightly less than the shell and it will sit on the surface instead of melting into it.

Sprinkles and transfers

Anything dry has to go on while the surface is still tacky. Printed chocolate transfers are pressed onto the shell before it fully sets and peeled once cold.

Packaging and keeping

Cakesicles keep at cool room temperature better than in a fridge, where condensation dulls the surface. Sealed bags with the stick supported stop the seam from taking the weight.
